Muzzleloaders sighted in…
Posted by dihardhunter on September 8, 2008
After getting our muzzleloaders close to zeroed a couple of weeks ago, after the tropical storm went through town on Saturday, it was time to stretch the distance and test our guns at longer ranges. The TC Omega is sighted in to a couple inches high at 50, 1 inch high at 100, and 2 inches low at 150. The Knight is sighted in similar, and both guns were laying 2.5-3 inch groups at well over a 100 yards. That is the last major step in getting for Kansas and 2 weeks from now, we might already have a ‘Booner’ on the ground, who knows?!?! I’m excited though to say the least, problem is… I have to get a TON of work done in the next 10 days, so that I can completely relax in the Midwest and leave all the work in Raleigh.
Side note: Best of luck to all my western NC bowhunters. Season is in and let me know as the success of autumn starts. Feel free to leave comments on any posts regarding this fall’s harvests. Who knows, if it is a big one or a deer of special significance, I’m sure we can find a spot for it on the blog.
