Update from Kansas…

My dad heard from Kansas today and passed along some interesting information. Yes, they got buckets of rain the last couple of weeks, but hopefully things will be drying out the next couple days and that isn’t going to interfere with our hunting. I am going to double check to make sure my rubber boots aren’t dry-rotted though.
The hunting crew will be myself and dad, two other fellas that just decided to switch their hunt from second week to first week, and another hunter. 5 of us hunting on give-or-take 10,000 acres.
We’ll be scouting Saturday night, Sunday, and potentially Monday morning (if we don’t have a concrete morning pattern to hunt yet). Monday night, game on, and we hope to dropping some bucks. The landowner has been saying that the bucks are phenomenal this year and is hoping to produce a couple 170-180 class bucks in the opening days. He’s been seeing them on a consistent nightly basis and believes that we can do the damage if we’re smart and calculate our moves just right.
Boy, am I excited, now I just need to get my work done in the office so that I can completely and 100% relax over the next 8 days or so.
