    North Carolina Trophy Bucks

Posted by dihardhunter on October 13, 2008

It is not difficult to google ‘monster bucks’ and come up with a hodge podge of bruiser bucks killed throughout the Midwest, Canada, and other regions of the country.  However, I was browsing around tonight and stumbled onto North Carolina Sportsman’s trophy buck contest.  I was interested to see that one of the entries was my buddy Tim that hunts between Orange and Alamance counties.  He killed a great P&Y qualifier that will stretch the tape at 135″, and seems to get on great deer every year.  Alamance County seems to be dominating the picture board so far with 2 or 3 entries as archery season hits the halfway point in the central deer season schedule.  If you are a North Carolina hunter, it would be worth your time to check out some of the good bucks that have already been taken in the Piedmont.  My favorite entry is the Alamance County trail cam pic of a t-totaling monster!  Check it out.
