Pennsylvania buck season opener
Posted by dihardhunter on December 1, 2008
One of the great hunting traditions in our country started this morning. Pennsylvania’s 2-week buck season. We were up in PA from Wednesday to Sunday and even though I couldn’t stay around to deer hunt today, I sat in stand several times just relaxing…saw deer every time!

The snow just lit up the woods and you could see deer 250-300 yards away in the thick red brush. The snow pictures are taken from the lean-to in my Grandma’s woods.

I took my first deer ever, a 3 pointer in 1996 from the lean-to. The deer bail off the strip-job where coal was mined 60-70 years ago and empty out into a big hardwood brushy bottom.

A hunting spot that has been killing deer for 50 years.
