Penguins Tickets
Posted by dihardhunter on December 4, 2008

Got my hands on 3 tickets for the Carolina Hurricanes and much more importantly, Pittsburgh Penguins, hockey game tonight in Raleigh, NC. More-tenured readers probably remember the series of posts that I made last season as the Penguins were organizing their march towards the Stanley Cup Finals where they met their match in the Detroit Red Wings. I’m excited though, I practically stole the tickets for a staggering $3/ticket off of StubHub.com. I really hope they aren’t a scam.
Should be a great game – Penguins coming off last night’s overtime defeat at the hands of the New York Rangers and the Hurricanes first game with new-old coach Paul Maurice behind the bench.
Go PENGUINS!

I was there you guys smoked us tonight. The canes are struggling I don’t think changing the coach is going to fix what ails them

No, GM isn’t going to fire himself, so next best choice is the coach. Bottom line is…Hurricanes are trying to build a franchise around Eric Staal. Great player, but that is like the Penguins trying to build around Jordan Staal. Not going to work. I do root for the Canes though, as long as they aren’t playing the Pens. I hope they can turn it around. I’d love to see Ronnie Francis as head coach, I think he is a true gentleman in the game and I loved him as a ‘Guin and a Cane.

Oh…what a sad game. The Canes got slapped big time.
And why you hire a guy you just fired 7 years earlier? go figure!
