Frigid Forage Expands Reach to Michigan

March 5, 2009

ONAMIA, Minn. – Those in Michigan can now enjoy the benefits of using Frigid Forage’s food plot forages in cold climates. Located in Northern Minnesota, Frigid Forage is developed, grown and produced in our nation’s ‘ice box.’ A new partnership with John A. Van Den Bosch Company – a leader in feed products since 1932 – will allow for distribution in Michigan.

“Frigid Forage is excited about this new partnership with a long-standing family-owned business in Michigan such as the John A. Van Den Bosch Company. We have identified demand in Michigan and are pleased that this partnership will pave the road for our expansion into northern states and make it easier for clients to purchase Frigid Forage products,” says John Barsody, owner of Frigid Forage.

As a member of the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA), Frigid Forage plays a role in supporting the farmers and landowners who invest in their land, and therefore keeping rural lands from becoming urbanized. ADWA Director of Operations Annie Jones says, “Frigid Forage has built a reputation on providing hardy, weather tolerant food plots used by our members – whether for hunting grounds or deer and elk farming.”

With an extensive line of food plot seeds and products such as the ‘Buck Pucks’ and ‘Monster Rack’ minerals, Frigid Forage aims to produce larger bucks and create a healthier deer herd. “Our proven annual and perennial seeds will attract and hold deer and other wildlife on your land, providing increased hunting and wildlife-viewing opportunities for years to come,” adds Barsody. “Our customers put their hard-earned money and a lot of effort into their food plots, so they better make it to hunting season. This is something Frigid Forage understands.”

American Deer & Wildlife Alliance Welcomes Frigid Forage as New Member

December 18, 2008

AUSTIN, Texas – The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA) is proud to announce their latest ADWA Ally. Frigid Forage is the first food plot seed included in the popular ADWA Buyer’s Guide. With an extensive background in the wildlife industry, John Barsody is qualified in providing buyers with advice on which types of seeds to use and planting food plots.

Frigid Forage offers an extensive line of food plot seeds in addition to their renowned ‘Buck Puck’ and ‘Monster Rack Minerals,’ to help landowners, ranchers and breeders produce larger bucks and a healthier deer herd. Their frost-resistant food plot forages survive both cold winters and hot summers in most any climate in the country.

“Through public response, it became apparent to add products to our buyer’s guide for all our landowners, rancher and breeders that make up a large portion of our membership,” says ADWA director of operations Annie Jones. “After talking to John, his extensive background and knowledge in his field became apparent, and ADWA is proud to offer information about Frigid Forage to our members and the public.”

“As the official seed of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, I’m excited to extend our reach to a more national level through the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance. Don’t let our name fool you. People tend to think our seed blends will only grow well in colder climates, but they will in fact grow very well in Southern climates due to the much longer growing season. Of course our Buck Pucks and Monster Rack Minerals will be a tremendous help to your deer herd no matter where you call home. Frigid Forage also supports ADWA’s efforts in furthering wildlife education,” says owner John Barsody.

From hearty, fast-growing annual food plot blends that deer cannot resist, to perennial blends that will give your deer and upland birds a protein-rich food source for years to come, look no further than Frigid Forage Inc. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth of the deer and wildlife industry, and to help educate consumers and the youth on the conservation issues that affect deer and wildlife as well as the industry. Planting Your Field Of Dreams

Haas Outdoors Inc.PO Box 757, 200 East Main Street, West Point, MS 39773 662/494-8859 Fax 662/494-874

WEST POINT, MSIt’s virtually impossible to watch a hunting show or open a hunting magazine today without something being mentioned concerning food plots or land management. Most realize that TV and print articles drive the American hunter and consumer. However, the majority of these sources only give small one to two minute segments, or a few paragraphs on the subject. Let’s be realistic, food plot installation cannot be summarized in a brief infomercial, a single page article, or for that matter even a one-hour DVD.

Finally, there has been a DVD released that covers it all! Brad Lockwood, owner and operator of BioLogic’s North-Eastern Test Facility, has created the most detailed instructional step-by-step food plot creation video ever produced. This four-hour long DVD gives instruction on removing evasive weeds and grass, applying herbicides to your food plots and detailing which herbicides to use, how to measure your food plot and the importance of knowing the size of your food plot. It also includes in-depth information and instruction for taking soil samples, creating seed to soft soil contact, lime segments, fertilizer segments, animal manure programs, soil fertility properties, organic planting techniques, rotation of weed seed segments and on top of it all, 12 bonus hunts for bursts of exciting entertainment. It’s instructional, informational, and entertaining.

This DVD is the “nuts and bolts” of food plot planting at its best. Filmed from multiple camera angles, you will learn everything from; the proper creation of small Hot Spot plots tucked back in the timber, installed using standard garden tools. To planting half acre plots using ATV implements. To creating larger plots with three-point hitch tractor equipment, all the way up to 75 hp tractors; four-bottom plows and 12-foot transport disks. Not only does it detail everything on planting food plots for whitetail, but you will see the creation of a four-acre waterfowl pond and learn how to produce your own waterfowl sanctuary on your property. Literally, large to small this DVD covers it all.
