A New Era In Big Game Hunting Rifles

MADISON, NC - In January 2008, Remington made history with the introduction of the Model R-15 VTR. This modular repeating rifle was derived with varmint and predator hunters in mind and was the first of its kind among the industry’s leading hunting firearms manufacturers. The R-15 VTR was an immediate success and has quickly established a new category of precision hunting rifles. Now, Remington is excited to announce the Model R-25, a modular repeating rifle designed for big game hunters. The Model R-25 is available in 243 Win., 7mm-08 Remington and 308 Win.; three of today’s most popular short action hunting cartridges.

With the hunter in mind, the new R-25 modular repeating rifle boasts the most advanced design aspects of AR 308 Win., style rifles available today. For peak accuracy, the R-25 features a precision-crafted 20-inch barrel with recessed hunting crown that’s free-floated within a machined-aluminum fore-end tube for the ultimate in shot-to-shot consistency. Six longitudinal flutes forward of the gas block provide increased rigidity and weight reduction while promoting rapid barrel cooling.

Control comes naturally with the ergonomic pistol grip and lightweight overall design of the R-25. Its precision engineered upper and lower is machined from aluminum forgings for durability. For the ultimate in concealment in a variety of terrain, each Model R-25 is completely covered in the ultra-effective Mossy Oak Treestand camouflage pattern.

The new Treestand pattern utilizes the same silhouette-altering technology found in all the Mossy Oak patterns. It was designed specifically for hunting from an elevated position, effectively erasing the outline of an elevated hunter among the bare limbs of a late fall tree.
