Beginning archery hunters wanting to pursue game in Idaho next year are encouraged to register for a bow hunter education course scheduled in Lewiston.

The course will from 6 to 9 p.m. December 11, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 12 at the Lewiston Fish and Game Office, 3316 16th Street.

Students can register online by visiting the hunter education page on the department’s website at: http://fishandgame.idaho.gov, or visit the Clearwater Region Office at 3316 16th Street in Lewiston.

The course is a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on experiences. Subjects include equipment, hunting techniques, shot placement, recovery techniques, ethics, tree stand safety, outdoor preparedness and a written final exam
