So, now the federal monstrosity known as OSHA has set it’s sites on the firearm industry. The proposed regulations would basically eliminate all ammunition and components to make the ammunition. Read the article here.
I completely understand the need for workplace safety, but, when is enough going to be enough. The most important ingredient for workplace safety is common sense. I do feel that employers should be responsible for employee injuries if they cannot prove that they trained the employees for the work they are performing, other than that, it is the responsibility of the employee to make sure they are doing everything they can, not to hurt themselves.
So, with that being said, how is it possible that OSHA is being allowed to basically have free reign over all industry standards? OSHA is getting too big for it’s britches and is now trying to find everything and anything they can to justify their reason for being. This will not stop until everyone who works for a living is encased in an iron shell with rubber padding and bubble wrap on the inside in order not to hurt themselves on the job.
I think it is time for the people to take a stand and bring OSHA down a few notches. Leave us alone, leave our Civil Rights alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to look at real life in terms of paintball, you need to keep in mind that you need to work with and trust the other people on your team and really appreciate them for being there for you even when it seems like you are alone. This definitely holds true with our daily lives. All too often it seems that we go through our days not really thinking of all the people who helped us through them.
I have friends that I work with at one of my jobs, although I have not been there that long, these people have taken me in and made me part of a group that is strong and cares for one another. If I could express in words how good it feels to look forward to going to work because these people make it great, I would. Sometimes, even when I am in a “mood”, I tend to get quiet and I do not talk to people. The great thing is, the people I work with give me the space and the time I need to get back to myself. This is why I really appreciate these people. This is why I wanted to mention them and let people know that even when it seems like you are doing things alone and have nobody, there is always somebody that is in some way helping you through your day.
This is also why I feel safe in calling these wonderful people…TRUE FRIENDS!
Just wanted to give you an idea of why it is so important to follow the safety rules when using a paintball marker. First off, this kid is not wearing a mask, second, you NEVER, EVER, look down the barrel of any type of gun/marker. Allways keep the barrel pointed away from you. This kid is living proof that some people just don’t follow the rules.
This is one of the things that really gets to me. You need to use common sense with any type of gun/marker. It is senseless actions like this that make the sport look bad. These are not toys, these markers can really hurt you.
Hey! Guess what? Gas has gone up AGAIN!!!! I wanted everyone to know that there is a plan in place to try to get everyone not to buy gas on May 15th. This one day would cost the oil companies close to 3 billion dollars. Sounds fun does’nt it? They claim that the price is so high because of turmoil in the Middle East. Well, there was turmoil in the Middle East six years ago when we were paying $1.50 a gallon. Come up with a different excuse. They only care about the mighty dollar and how fat their pockets are getting on our behalf.
Please help to show big oil that we are tired of the games.
Here it is, the first installment of “ventilation”. This has to do with domestic violence. Gentlemen, please, whatever you do, do not lay hands on a woman. I must have been brought up old school, because that is one of the biggest things that upset me. It is never OK to lay hands on a woman. If it gets to that point, please just walk away. Too many men nowadays are hitting woman, and it is not just in the home anymore. These men are daring and crazy enough to do this out in public now. I for one cannot stand to see a guy grab a woman in anger inside of a store. Can you?
I know to most of you this is not even an issue. There are real men out there who still have morals. To those of you who do lay hands on a woman, remember, there might be someone out there who grew up old school who might have a problem seeing such things.
