For those of you who dont know like me till now, the new minimum wage of $5.85 will go into effect Tuesday July 24 2007. On july 24 2008 it will go to $6.55 and in 2009 will go to $7.25.  I believe this will give some much needed extra income, but could also hurt the employers and they may cut back as well. I currently pay  over 3 times the minimum wage so it should not affet us for a while. We pay by the day in the logging  woods and burning so it doesnt really matter anyway to us, but may effect some of the others.
