Will the real deer slayer please stand up?

This photo has been circulating the web for a while now.
Everyone knows every year there is a “Big Buck” that makes it’s rounds through emails, talk forums, and blogs that features a big buck killed by an “unknown” hunter. I ran across this one in an email a few days back, then it appeared on a local hunting forum I visit.
The “story” claims that this could be the biggest deer ever killed in Alberta, Canada. The story also claims that this hunter has been offered $200,000 for it already. Now, there is no doubt in my mind that this is ONE BIG BUCK but, several folks across the web have questioned it’s authenticity. Personally, I’m not good at judging if a photo has been altered or not unless it’s really obvious. Alot of talk has surfaced that these photos have been photoshopped.
Whether or not these photos or real or another hoax only time will tell. Hopefully a reader here can fill us in on additional photos, stories, etc. about this beast. So do you know who the “Real Deer Slayer” is? Send us your comments!!

I think it’s more a question of tricky camera angle than Photoshop. That’s partially why the pic looks a little funny… it’s a skewed perspective.
Anyway, as Moose found out, I’m pretty sure it’s for real… although some of the tales circulating with it are gonna keep on growing.
