Michael Vick Files For Bankruptcy Status

The Sporting News is reporting that former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has filed for bankruptcy protection while serving time for charges stemming from his recent federal dogfighting charges. Vick owes his creditors in the neighborhood of $10-$50 million dollars and has no income while he is in prison.
The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback hopes he “can, after the conclusion of the bankruptcy case, rebuild his life on a personal and spiritual level, resurrect his image as a public figure, and resolve matters with the NFL such that he can resume his career,” according to the filings.
You know, sometimes crime just doesn’t pay off the way it was originally envisioned.
Vick is serving a 23 month sentence for a federal dogfighting crime. He is currently locked up in Leavenworth, Kansas.
