Enjoying a Three Day Weekend
I don’t have much lined up so I am just going to babble a bit today if you all don’t mind.
Well here it is Good Friday and I have the day off from work. I have been home sick since Monday night when I went home early. Sinus cold really is doing a number on me but, I am slowly getting better so thank god for a long weekend. I don’t plan on doing much but, taking it easy, I lose anymore time and my supervisor will be roasting my butt over an open fire. He is the one that is covering most of my work for me that’s why.
My wife Heidi is taking Tyler over to play with his little buddy this afternoon so while they are over there I will be heading for Cabela’s. See if you didn’t know a couple of weeks ago I went to a QDMA seminar at Cabela’s and believe it or not I actually won a 12ga. slug gun in a raffle. I was shocked to say the least because I never won anything. So this afternoon I am going to Cabela’s to buy a scope for it. It is nothing fancy but, it comes with a lot of great reviews. I believe you don’t need to spend a lot to get a lot if you know what I mean.
Saturday Heidi and the neighbor are taking the kids to an Easter egg hunt that our local Fire Department puts on for the kids each year. We went last year and the turnout was overwelming. I never knew we had that many kids around. Tyler had a great time so I expect he will again this year. Heidi is taking her digital camera with her so I hope to post a few pictures later tomarrow of the festivities. I plan to work around the house while they are gone at least that is the plan anyway.
Sunday we are doing something different. We are going to my sisters for Easter Dinner. I say different because it has been quite a few years since she had a holiday dinner at her house. I don’t really know why but none the less we are going. Heidi will be making her famous “Sweet Potato Casserole”, she really does a fantastic job making this dish.
That is pretty much the basics for a long holiday weekend so from my family to your family “We wish everyone a safe and Happy Easter”
