Cat verses Turkey - Tails & Trails - Whitetail Deer & Turkey Hunting

Cat verses Turkey

Yesterday I had just left my house and was heading to work when I noticed a cat chasing a turkey across somebody’s front lawn. As I slowed down I think the turkey had seen me coming and thought I could assist because it briskly turn and ran right across the road and had time it just right so the cat would have to stop.

I thought I was going to bust a gut from laughing so hard. It all happened so quick that I didn’t get a chance to take a picture. What a shot that would have made. This morning early I was on my way to pick up my son from work and going by the exact spot from yesterday I had the what I believe to be the same turkey hen run across the road in front of me. Now I didn’t see the cat this time but I am beginning to think that this turkey could either be taunting me because the hunting serason is over or the turkey just has a death wish.

We will just have to see who will win. LOL

Turkeys do taunt you. I think they like to play chicken with cars too. We get them standing on the side of the road here and they’ll wait until just before you’d have to hit them and then decide to cross. I think they’re all secretly laughing at all the drivers slamming on their brakes.

Kristine, you are probably right about them laughing but when I do tag one I will be the one laughing when I sit down to eat. LOL.

That is hysterical Rick. Maybe this turkey is like the evil knievel of turkeys. He is out doing all of these things, and the rest of the turkeys are laying back in the woods watching and loving every minute of it.

Arthur, you should have seen it. You probably would have laughed as much as I did.
