Just a quick post to let you see a couple of pictures that Heidi took from our car as we were leaving the New England Air Museum. It was a very overcast morning with light rain showers but, that did not stop this turkey from looking for something to eat.

What surprises me is that we practically pulled right up next to it with the car and it didn’t run away. The two pictures were taken without any zoom what so ever.

Yesterday I had just left my house and was heading to work when I noticed a cat chasing a turkey across somebody’s front lawn. As I slowed down I think the turkey had seen me coming and thought I could assist because it briskly turn and ran right across the road and had time it just right so the cat would have to stop.

I thought I was going to bust a gut from laughing so hard. It all happened so quick that I didn’t get a chance to take a picture. What a shot that would have made. This morning early I was on my way to pick up my son from work and going by the exact spot from yesterday I had the what I believe to be the same turkey hen run across the road in front of me. Now I didn’t see the cat this time but I am beginning to think that this turkey could either be taunting me because the hunting serason is over or the turkey just has a death wish.

We will just have to see who will win. LOL
