Simply Outdoors is just that “Simply Outdoors”

I came up with this new category (blog showcase) a little while back thinking that it would add another avenue for me to go down with my own blog. I really do enjoy blogging which is still kinda hard to believe because 16 months ago I didn’t know what blogging was. Since then I have come in contact with a lot of people and I am happy to say some have become very good friends in my opinion even though I haven’t personally met any of them.

This brings me to the post at hand. I wanted to showcase another blog that I feel in my humble opinion has become a great source of information, a good friend who says it like it is, who enjoys the outdoors to it fullest and also like to share their experiences with all of us. Let me introduce to you know,

The blog is called “Simply Outdoors” and here is their welcome message that pretty much explains what I am trying to say.

Welcome to the Simply Outdoors webpage. We are two brothers from lower Michigan who enjoy fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors. We decided that it would not only be a motivation, but would be fun to have a site to share some of our hunting, fishing, and outdoor experiences; triumph and tragedy! We are by no means professionals and will never claim to be. We are just two average guys who enjoy outdoors activities. We will try to cover a little bit of everything on the site including deer & turkey hunting, steelhead, bass, and salmon fishing, camping, and other goodies. So take a look around and enjoy!

Arthur with his best bud “Brock”.

Jeff with a very nice buck.

I only wish I could spend as much time in the outdoors as these two guys do. They always keep the blog interesting and I truly to enjoy visiting it every day and would gladly direct others to check their site out. They have been very dedicated supporters to me and “Tails and Trails” and for that I thank them very much so if your reading this and feel a bit curious then check them out.

Moose’s Wild America, See it & Live it

I woke up today and started working on the computer before I started my chores around the house. I knew I needed a post for today and as it happens from time to time my mind was just not cooperating. I figured something would come to mind so I continued on with my daily routine of answering emails and doing posts on other blogs and forums that I visit.

One of my daily stops is the new improved “Skinny Moose Media Bloggers Forum” which has gone through some changes and has really caught my attention. I want to take a second to say thanks to Steve Remington the President and Tom Remington the Vice President of Skinny Moose Media for the opportunity they have given me. What they have done for one thing is open part of it to the public which I think will become popular in the future once people realize it is there. Right now the only people that appear to be using it are Skinny Moose Bloggers which is one reason for this post. I am hoping to direct others to this forum because it can be a great avenue for blogging information as well as meeting and making new friends.

That last comment leads me to a post that I just read this morning. It is in the “Blog Showcase” category under my post about my blog. Before I go to far this is the post I am referring to with my reply,

Moose wrote:
Rick is one guy I hope to meet someday. He encourages me so much with the many comments he posts on my blogs. Having lived in New England for the first two thirds of my life I know how hard those bucks can be to tag with the short seasons, hunting pressure, and limited land access. Good to see a New England working stiff out here posting he reminds me of many of the guys in Massachusetts that help get me into hunting.

Thanks Moose for those very kind words. My father taught me to always work hard and to take care of family but in a way he also taught me to save a special place for myself. That place took me awhile to figure out but when I did I found it was the OUTDOORS which included whitetail deer hunting and better late than never turkey hunting.
I found that it is another way to take care of my family by supplying food and it also gave me a place to go and find the inner peace they all of us needs at some point in our lives.

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words……….

To tell you a little about Moose he is a very accomplished Outdoor Photographer and lives in North Carolina.

He has one blog called “Moose Droppings” which I subscribe to. He also has a blog called “Moose’s Wild America”, now this blog is filled with all kinds of outdoor pictures that are a must see for all to enjoy. I am proud to say that I subscribe to this blog as well. They always say pictures can say a thousand words or something to that effect but anyway maybe that is why I put so many pictures on my blog because it gives the reader in my opinion something to put with what I am trying to post about.

Anyway, my recommendation is to check out Skinny Moose Bloggers Forum as well as Moose Droppings and Moose’s Wild America. You won’t be disappointed.
