Scrap Wood Project - Part 2
Well here is the finish product. I still would like to get some felt for the notch in the back piece but, other than that it is done. All it cost was $2.00 for the hinge.
I first bought the revolver years ago from Gander Mountain after I became interested in the Civil War because I had learned about my Great Great Great Grandfather Leander Allen who was in the Union Calvary and had fought at the battle of Gettysburg and survived. From what I had learned after the battle of Gettysburg he was assigned to Washington where he ended up looking for John Wilkes Booth after he had shot President Lincoln. So there is a little bit of history there.
All this chit chat of civil war and black powder revolvers and such makes me want to go shoot.

Very cool Rick and well worth the effort. I love the civil war as well and I have a definite addiction to the Shiloh battle. Great stuff and I love learning the family history. That is awesome.

Arthur, thanks for stopping by as usual. Besides that little bit of history I am also a direct descendent of Ethan Allen, Leader of the Green Mountain Boys.
