Saturday afternoon shopping at Cabela’s
I finally made a decision that I am in no shape to drag deer out of the woods anymore and I don’t see me getting back to the point where I can handle that type of stress on my body. I decided to go to the new Cabela’s in East Hartford with my son Tyler while my wife Heidi was shopping for Scrapbooking stuff in Manchester.
I had wanted to look at two wheeled carts which I figured would help me considerably. They had 5 different models to choose from and it was a tough choice but, in the end I went with the “Alum-i-Lite Game cart”. It wasn’t the most expensive which I felt was slightly overkill and to be honest was as big as I was, and it wasn’t the cheapest which I felt could not handle the terrain that I hunt in normally. It was priced in the middle at a reasonable $119.99 which I felt was fair, especially after I took the floor model down and checked it out from one end to the other end.
My son Tyler wanted A Hunter Dan figure to go with the Deer figure we bought him the last time we went so this is the one he picked. I thought that was pretty cool that he wanted one of those because it had all the same stuff that DAD uses to go hunting.
Of coarse I had to get one more “Drury Outdoors” DVD to go in my library so I picked the next one in their “Dream Season” series.
