Christmas Day at the Mailbox
This was like Christmas day at the mailbox for me. I just received my CT. state land Muzzleloader tag for this season so I am now legal with the proper license and tag. Muzzleloading and Muzzleloader Hunting is a big part of what I enjoy doing and look forward to heading out every year. I also love to shoot black powder during the off season as well. The only thing I would want to change if I could would be to have more time to shoot than I do, it always seems like I am wanted somewhere to do something. I guess that’s life though, maybe things will settle a little after the new year so I can go shoot more.
The other item I got in the mail was a membership packet from the “Quality Deer Management Association”. Before I tell you about the membership I need to say Thank You to Steve and Skinny Moose Media because they covered the cost of me to attend a banquet that was put on by the “Connecticut River Valley Branch of the QDMA”. That cost for the banquet also included a membership.
The packet I received came with a very nice membership card and a very nice decal for my truck. It also had a fourteen page pamphlet on “A Basic Guide to Quality Deer Management” and also a eleven page pamphlet on “Developing Successful Quality Deer Management Cooperatives” and last but not least all the information needed to purchase “Hunting Liability Insurance” if I was so inclined to do so.
I always did like getting stuff in the mail, I mean who wouldn’t. Usually it is all bills or junk mail but not today. We are getting some very needed rain right now and I have to get ready for work so I will catch you all later. Don’t forget that Life is to short so get out and enjoy the outdoors and what it has to offer.

Merry Christmas!!! Gotta love treats in the mail!
