While many western parks are basking under a mantle of heavy snow right now, Death Valley is warm, inviting, and the perfect winter destination. A lot of visitors don’t know that Death Valley is only a couple of hours away from Las Vegas, and it makes a great day trip from “Sin City.”

The weather is mild now in the valley, and while you might run into a rain shower or two, temperatures are usually in in the 50s and 60s during the day, with a jacket or sweater needed at night. Give yourself enough time to really explore and experience the beauty of Death Valley, during the day - and at night.

There is beauty in the desert, and if you visit Death Valley, you’ll discover how fascinating and beautiful the desert landscape can be.
