Pelicans at Pea Island

Sunday I returned to Pea Island photo blind, the activity was not as good as it was in December.  I believe the weather front caused a fish kill in front of the blind attracting the gulls.  Here is a shot I got of a gull eating what appears to be a mullet.

This morning as I was gathering my stuff to take off for work I spied this doe feeding along the back yard.  Not unusual to see deer in my yard but the snow really helped this one to stand out in the brush.

North Carolina rarely gets snow, it has been 4 years since our last snow storm.  On tuesday we awoke to a winter storm and all the joys that come with snow in the south.  I stopped on my way to work to get a coffee (hot) and saw this sign while standing in line.  Kind [...]
