Squirrel Trapping and Control – Squirrels are small, desructive furry rodents who become a nuisance when they enter attics, soffits, and other areas of buildings.Squirrels are capable of causing damage through their gnawing activities, including creating a fire risk when they gnaw through the insulation on wires. Squirrels
also contaminate buildings with the shed hairs, urine, and droppings, and the parasites they carry can transmit many serious arboviral diseases. For more information please visit http://squirrelremovals.com.

Raccoon Trapping and Control – Raccoons are intelligent, medium-sized destructive mammals who frequently take up residence in attics, chimneys, sheds, barns, and other homes and buildings. Raccoons are stocky, powerful animals who can become aggressive and cause serious injury if approached. Raccoons also have a high incidence of rabies, and their parasites can vector many serious diseases. Raccoon control usually is accomplished by trapping and then having a professional
identify areas needed for animal damage repair and prevention. Raccoons will use separate areas in a attic as toilets and the fecal and urine matter can cause the spread of dangerous diseases such as raccoon roundworm and other diseases. For more info please visit http://raccoonremovals.com

Bat Control and Removal – Bats are beneficial mammals because they consume about 1000 insects an hour each during their nightly flights and up to 600o-8000 insects in one evening and basically eat their weight in insects with each nights flights. Bats become a nuisance when they nest in attics, barns, bell towers, soffits, and other parts of buildings. Their guano (droppings) contain disease-causing organisms, their parasites can transmit serious diseases, and the bats
themselves have a high incidence of rabies. Bat control is accomplished primarily by exclusion or the use of one way exit doors. The use of glueboards, mothballs are in many parts of the country illegal since many bats species are endangered and protected by the federal government and many local and state agencies. The trapping and use of nets with bats is illegal in some parts of the country because many get injured and can no longer fly. For more information on bats please visit
    http://batremovals.com

Skunk Control- Skunks (polecats) are medium-sized, primarily nocturnal animals whose diet consists mainly of insects and small rodents. as well as grasses, berries, and other plant products. They also are one of the few animals who eat honeybees. Although passive by nature, skunks will defend themselves with a foul-smelling spray that they can discharge with pinpoint if they feel threatened. This ability is the main reason why skunks are disliked. For more information visit http://skunkremovals.com

Attic Restoration Services – Many times when wildlife such as birds, bats ,raccoons and other species enter an attic they will leave large deposits of urine and fecal material in your attic. The insulation should be removed in affected areas, and the area cleaned up properly and the potential for disease to be transmitted to you, your family and pets is very important. Failure to have your attic cleaned up professionally can also affect the resale value of your home, property or structure. San Bernandino, Orange County,Riverside , Los Angeles California Raccoons Are Out of Control

Call for a Free Price Quote 310-809-8877

Trapper Trevor, CEO All City Animal Trapping of Southern California is reporting nearly 150% increase in business this spring and have noted that urban raccoon populations are at a all time high this year and feels the following reasons for an increase this year:

    1. Well meaning residents are doing the wrong things such as leaving feed out for pets, adding Koi ponds without protection from wildlife or building them too shallow for animals to wade and treat them as their own gourmet restaurant.

    2. Homes and other structures have many access points that rather having been repaired left alone. It is a good idea to inspect yearly all soffit, fascia, and vents leading into your building and ensuring little hands can not get behind them and rip them away from the building. Flick says a lot of folks think about things after the fact and ask for the repairs when realistically his company would be happy to do these inspections annually, do any repairs or replacements and offer any animal removal services as part of his annual maintenance guarantee plan.

    3. He reminds us that feeding or even leaving water out for any wildlife intentionally is simply wrong and it only artificially creates the growth capacity of urban animals such as squirrels, opossums, coyotes, foxes, rats, mice, raccoons and many nuisance bird species in neighborhoods that lack natural living spaces for them to in inhabit. Wildlife will always meet that artificial carrying capacity with an appropriate population. This equates to more animals causing more nuisance problems by entering abandoned or poorly maintained structures.

    3. Trapper Trevor adds most of this area originally did not support these species. Much of it lacked foliage and offered only grasses and cactus. Today with urban expansion new homes have been created with lush landscaping, fruit and nut trees have been added and thus created a new environment for wildlife to flourish. Today as neighborhoods become older structures have been neglected, this new foliage has become over grown and squirrels, raccoons, mice, rats, foxes, opossums, coyotes and even exotic species first introduced into the wild by irresponsible pet owners now all call this area home . A home, Trevor repeats, 100 years ago not even a natural habitat for any of them. Today they are found in hundreds of homes in the area everyday. Trevor, states he has a special appreciation for wildlife and only believes in handling them humanely but they simply do not belong in our neighborhoods and it is now his job to bring piece of mind and animal free homes to his customers.

Not long in New York City two children and a baby fell ill and one blinded by Raccoon Roundworm disease. This is a disease no one really wants a devastating, crippling disease like it in their own yards and few know very little about it and should watch this video.

Michigan Wildlife Control Company Offers Animal Removal Cleanouts And Attic Restoration Services

Building Clean Outs Due To Nuisance Animals
By Randy Owens, Owens Animal Control of Michigan

After being in many attics and crawl spaces on our home inspections and seeing the damage and waste such as feces, urine and destroyed insulation varmints left behind; we decided to offer clean out services to our customers.

The feces from birds, bats and raccoons are considered by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to possibly carry zoonotic diseases such as: histoplasmosis, toxoplasmosis, cryptococcosis, baylisascaris, salmonella, e coli, rabies, etc. For personal and public safety do not disturb the droppings unless wearing proper safety equipment (PPE). A tyvek suit, taped at the cuffs, boots and wearing a 0.4 micron respirator that will filter the airborne pathogens to prevent respiratory disease infection.

Our original training was from Eric Arnold of “Birds Bats and more” work shop on “Bat Exclusions and Cleanouts”. He was very through in his 4 day work shop. The training consisted of intense class room lectures to hands on field training. We attend ongoing training and update seminars from our association, the Michigan Animal Damage Control Association (MADCA) and the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA). They bring in local and national experts in the field of nuisance animal control to lecture on a variety of subjects in the wildlife control industry.

Safety is the most important part in clean outs, first the technician’s must wear the proper PPE. Next is protecting the structure from airborne dust particles by wetting down the area to be cleaned out with a sterilant. Then removing the feces with a HEPA vacuuming system to ensure all contaminates are cleaned up.

We use vacuums systems with HEPA filtration filters to prevent airborne spreading of dust particles. We use two kinds of vacuums, the large system is from T.A. P. and the small is a shop vacuum type with HEPA filters.

We have developed protocols to perform the clean outs for safety of the building and its occupants and our technician. The protocol requires the technician to be trained in the use of, and to wear, all personal protective equipment (PPE). In the building protocol, it requires proper equipment and its setup that will not allow any dust particles into the air. Whenever there is the possibility of any airborne dust particles, we wipe down all surfaces with a sterilant.

Last winter we preformed a job for bird feces clean out at a local metropolitan area courthouse. The bird waste was above the drop ceiling where all the utilities run on the fifth floor. Just opening the ceiling tiles let dust and debris come down into the rooms below. One technician just continually vacuumed the floors to prevent dust from being tracked about the floor. Also, one technician was responsible to continually wipe down surfaces, to clean up any possible dust. The customer had an inspection manager on site at all times during the process and was happy with the finished product.

Devious Woodchucks Causing Lots Of Garden Damage Again
by Bill Rumley, Buffalo, New York

As I sit parked in front of the local Home Depot, taking a well deserved lunch break, the phone rings. Cayuga Creek Bill speaking, I think I have a woodchuck living under my storage shed the customer states. After a short discussion we schedule an appointment to remove the non-rent paying tenant. March 17th, the first woodchuck job of the season. After a long western New York winter, these hibernating mammals have begun to awaken. Hungry, in search of love, and summer denning sites they begin making use of available structures such as sheds, garages, houses, patios porches, and pools etc.
