New York Trappers Hold Benefit Auction For Montana Trappers
Posted by Robb Russell on August 30, 2009
Just wanted to remind everyone if you haven’t been on the NYtrappers Forum in a while that they are currently running a benefit auction to raise money for the trappers in Montana that may possibly lose the right to trap on public lands in their state.
It is important that our industry support each other as New York is doing with this benefit auction. What affects one state will eventually affect us all. Socheck out the auction items since it all goes to a very worth and needed cause.
There are some great items, some one of a kind items and even a chance to get personal trapping instruction from the NYSTA President, John Rockwood. While Montana may seem like a long ways away and have no bearing on NY, just look at what has happened recently closer to home with other states in the Northeast either losing the ability to trap or severely being restricted. Each state that falls makes it a little easier for those against us to gain a foothold. Please take a look and help support our breathren in arms while they still have a chance to stop this.

The Wildlife Pro Network trys to stay on top of every issue affecting our industry and trappers rights. This is just one of those not for profits things we do by being a conduit and helping get the word out.
